The CW official renewed One Tree Hill for an eighth season on May 18, 2010 with a 13 episode order. Original cast members returning are James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Sophia Bush and Lee Norris. Season 8 premiered September 14, 2010 and airs Tuesdays at 8/7c. Mark Schwahn recently admitted that the future of the series is still unclear, and while anything could happen, he is treating this season to be the last of the series.[1] The CW ordered a full season of the show, bringing its episode count up to 22.[2] Season 8 features the return of the original opening credits and the original opening theme as covered by various artists.[3]
